There is a small fee associated with the evaluation. Additionally, non-EU visitors may be subject to an additional tourist tax known as the International Visitors Conservation (IVL) Levy. A supplementary tax applies to non-EU visitors who enter on a &#8216;visa waiver&#8217; (without the visa requirement).<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><b>If you travel to NZ on an Alternative Visa, you do not need an NZeTA.<\/b><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The NZeTA is only required if the individual travels to New Zealand on a visitor visa from the &#8220;visa waiver country&#8221; (as indicated above). It was introduced alongside NZeTA and is paid for by all tourists and working holiday travellers, regardless of whether they enter the country under a visa waiver (NZeTA) or a visa (actual).<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you&#8217;re applying for a working holiday or tourist visa, you&#8217;ll already be charged the IVL when you use it for an NZeTA (if you apply for one of the cheapest NZeTAs available), so you&#8217;ll pay the IVL directly. Only New Zealand residents pay this city tax; only residents (or equivalent status holders like Australian passport holders) pay the IVL.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<h2><b>You will also have to pay the IVL<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/h2>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The International Visitors Conservation and Tourism Levy (IVL) is the fee for purchasing an Immigration New Zealand (NZeTA).
